J&M Accounting is a mother daughter professional team with the “J” being for Jill who is mom, and the “M” for Michelle who is the daughter. Together we are J&M accounting service an incredible balanced team. Jill and Michelle have extensive experience in business accounting and together can help your business stay balanced, accountable, and in good standing. Below you will find just a small snippet about each of us, we are eager to partner with you and be an important part of your team.
Meet Michelle
Growing up in the small town of Canby, I have always appreciated the small town feel. After college I knew I wanted to come back and eventually raise a family in Canby. I saw the benefits of having your own business as a child and knew that was the path I was meant to take. Having a family business comes with sacrifices, but also many benefits. I’ve been able to bring my daughter Hannah to work. My clients have been able to watch her grow, which has been fun for them to see. I was also able to go back and earn my master’s degree a few years ago. My approach to business and life is one of kindness, goodwill, and dedication. I pride myself on my relationship with my clients. I have an open door policy. They are always welcome to drop by and chat. Sometimes you just need a nonjudgmental ear to listen and I am grateful to be that person for so many. It has been such a reward over the years to be able to serve all of our clients.

Meet Jill
Like most entrepreneurs I started this business as a way to make some extra money to support my family. Within a few years it had grown enough that I could quit my job. Having my own business gave me the flexibility I needed as a single parent. I was able to put my family first and that was a great feeling. A number of my clients today are still the ones from when I first started the business in my house. I’ve been able to use my experience as a small business owner over the past 25 plus years to relate to my clients. Regardless of the type of business all businesses go through similar cycles. It takes a unique person to be a successful entrepreneur. I believe two of the keys to success are determination and flexibility. I have enjoyed watching my clients grow and learn as business owners.
